This 3D printed replacement lid is designed specifically to fit the Exo Terra Nano front-opening terrariums — models 8x8x8 and 8x8x12. It is not compatible with other tank brands.
The lid comes fully preassembled (unlike our larger models) and includes a 5" x 7" acrylic sheet already installed. If desired, you can easily swap the acrylic for a 5" x 7" glass panel later on.

🕸️ Ventilation & Access Ports
This lid includes:
One vent section along the front
One vent section along the back
One center hole in the front, fitted with a flush screw-in plug
That center hole can be used in multiple ways:
Feeding or watering: Optional feeder screw caps allow easy access without opening your tank.
Misting systems: The same hole can accommodate a misting nozzle; our misting nozzle adapters provide a perfect fit.

This 3D printed replacement/upgrade lid is designed to fit the Exo Terra Mini Natural Terrariums line of front-opening terrariums in sizes 12"x12"x12", 12"x12"x18", and 12"x12"x24". It is not compatible with other brands or models. These don't fit the new Pro series (as far as I know).

This lid is printed in a single solid piece and comes preassembled for convenience.
It includes:
A built-in fine mesh section along the front and back for ventilation
An 8"x10" acrylic panel preinstalled in the center
The ET design provides a sleek, all-in-one lid solution, combining function, fit, and simplicity.
⚙️ Functional Features
Each lid includes three pre-threaded holes:
One in the front center
Two in the back corners
Each hole includes a flush screw-in plug for a clean look and easy customization.
You can configure these openings with optional accessories available in our shop:
Feeder caps – allow feeding or watering without opening the doors
Misting nozzle adapters – fit standard-sized 5/8" misting nozzles (adapter reduces hole size from ~1" to standard)
Cord pass-through caps – for neatly routing cables or tubing
Solid vent insert kit – includes plastic strips that install under the lid, over the mesh, and are held in place by clips to block airflow when higher humidity is needed
All optional parts can be swapped easily, or you can simply keep the holes capped.
🕸️ Ventilation
The built-in fine 3D-printed mesh provides excellent airflow and safety:
It won’t rust or corrode
It’s safe for tarantulas and small species (no toe-catching)
It’s fine enough to prevent fruit flies and other small insects from escaping
Optional solid vent inserts let you block airflow while keeping the mesh intact — ideal for maintaining high humidity environments.

Designed exclusively for Exo Terra Mini terrariums (12"x12") — models 12", 18", and 24" tall
Requires tanks with half-circle top latches (modern style).
⚠️ Older Exo Terra models with different latch systems may not fit unless latch points are removed.
Not compatible with other brands or unlisted models.

These lids are precisely fitted for Zoo Med tanks and will not fit other brands.

These lids are designed to be a sleek, all-in-one upgrade compared to the stock versions.
If your tank maintains extremely high humidity, you may wish to swap the acrylic for glass later, as acrylic can sometimes warp under prolonged moisture exposure.

🔒 Simple Locking Mechanism
The built-in latches operate smoothly and securely:
To unlock, gently push the latches toward the center.
To lock, push them away from the center.
