This 3D printed replacement lid kit is designed to fit Exo Terra small Natural Terrariums line of front-opening terrariums, including the 18"x18"x12", 18"x18"x18", 18"x18"x24", and 18"x18"x36" models.
It includes all the 3D-printed components you need — you’ll simply assemble it yourself and provide your own glass.
These don't fit the new Pro series (as far as I know).

Each lid kit includes four main pieces:
One bar for each side
One front bar and one back bar (both with built-in fine mesh ventilation)
The four bars snap together easily to form the lid frame.
Your glass panel (not included) is secured in place with plastic pressure tabs — no tools required.
Each lid includes six capped holes for customization and utility — one in each corner and one at the front center and back center.
Each hole includes a flush screw-in plug that can be used in a variety of ways:
Misting nozzle adapters (optional): Fit standard misting nozzles perfectly for automated humidity or cooling systems.
Feeder caps (optional): Allow you to pass food or water through the lid without opening your enclosure.
Cord pass-through caps (optional): The back corner holes align over the terrarium’s existing cord cutouts, suitable for small cords (large plug heads will not fit through).
Solid vent inserts (optional): Plastic strips that can be installed under the mesh vents to block airflow for high-humidity setups.
Or simply keep all holes capped for a clean finish.
To keep costs down and prevent shipping damage, the glass center piece is not included.
You can easily have glass cut to size at Lowe’s or most hardware stores — often at no charge.
Glass opening size: 14" x 16"
Recommended glass size: 13 15/16" x 15 15/16" (slightly smaller to fit the 5mm lip)
Compatible glass thicknesses:
Standard 3/32" glass (recommended)
1/8" or tempered glass (optional)
⚠️ Safety note: Always handle freshly cut glass with care. Sand the edges lightly with fine-grit sandpaper to remove sharp edges before installation.
Each vent section features fine 3D-printed plastic mesh that:
Won’t rust or corrode
Is safe for tarantulas and other delicate animals (no toe-catching)
Is fine enough to prevent fruit flies from escaping
Optional solid vent inserts can be installed over the mesh to reduce airflow entirely, ideal for maintaining high humidity.
This lid fits modern Exo Terra terrariums that use the half-circle latch design on top.
Older Exo Terra models with a different latch system may not fit unless you remove the latch points from the tank rim.
This is rare, but please verify before ordering.
