This 3D printed replacement lid kit is designed to fit the Exo Terra Frogs & Co Dart Frog Terrarium (18"x18"x18") and the Tree Frog Terrarium (18"x18"x24") — the models with a single front-opening door. If your tank has two front doors, this is not the correct lid — please see our ET18 (Small Exo Terra) lid instead.

🧩 Kit Components & Design
Our FT Series features a refined, modular design made up of four precision 3D-printed pieces:
One bar for each side
A front and back bar with built-in fine mesh ventilation
The four bars snap together to form a durable, lightweight frame. The glass insert (not included) is held in place using plastic pressure tabs for a secure and clean fit.
⚙️ Functional Features
Each lid includes six pre-threaded holes — one in the front center, one in the back center, and one in each corner. All holes include flush screw-in plugs for flexibility and customization.
You can configure your lid with optional accessories:
Misting nozzle adapters – accept standard misting nozzles for automated systems
Feeder caps – allow food or water access without opening the enclosure
Cord pass-through caps – for routing cables neatly through the lid
Solid vent inserts – install under the lid, over the mesh to block airflow for high-humidity environments
All holes can also remain capped for a sealed, streamlined appearance.
🪟 Glass Panel (Not Included)
The glass center is not included to reduce cost and avoid shipping risk. You can have glass cut to size at Lowe’s or most hardware stores — typically for free.
Glass opening size: 13 17/32" x 15 15/32" Recommended cut size: 13 ½" x 15 7/16" (1/16" smaller for the 5mm lip clearance)
Compatible glass types:
Standard 3/32" glass (recommended)
1/8" or tempered glass (optional)
⚠️ Safety note: Sand the edges of freshly cut glass with fine-grit sandpaper to remove sharpness before installation. The glass is held securely with included plastic pressure tabs.
🕸️ Mesh Ventilation
The front and back vents feature fine 3D-printed mesh that:
Won’t rust or corrode
Is safe for tarantulas and small amphibians (no toe-catching)
Is fine enough to prevent fruit flies from escaping
If you need to maintain higher humidity, optional solid vent inserts can be installed over the mesh (from underneath) to block airflow while preserving the mesh integrity.
