This 3D printed replacement lid kit is custom-designed to fit the Thrive brand 40-gallon terrarium, which measures 36" × 18" × 18" , , as well as the similar 31-gallon terrarium, which measures 36" × 18" × 12", where both feature double front-opening doors.
Please note — this is a kit for you to assemble, and it does not include the glass panel.

Our TV Series lid is composed of six precision 3D-printed pieces:
One bar for each side
Two bars for the front
Two bars for the back
The front and back bars snap together to create two long pieces, each featuring built-in fine 3D-printed mesh.
These connect with the side bars to form the complete lid frame.
The glass center panel (not included) is held securely in place with plastic pressure tabs, ensuring a snug, clean fit with no tools required.
Each lid includes six versatile port holes — one in each corner, plus one at the front center and back center.
Every port includes a flush screw-in plug, allowing multiple configuration options:
Misting nozzle adapters: Accept standard misting systems (sold separately).
Feeder caps: Provide easy access for feeding or watering without opening the enclosure.
Cord pass-through: Back corner holes align with tank cutouts, suitable for cords (but not large plug heads). Optional cord pass-through caps are available for a tighter seal.
Solid vent inserts: Optional plastic inserts that install under the lid, over the mesh to block airflow and maintain higher humidity.
For safety and convenience, glass is not included.
You can have glass cut to size at Lowe’s or most hardware stores — usually for free.
Glass opening size: 33 13/16" × 13 1/2"
Recommended glass size: 33 11/16" × 13 7/16" — cut approximately 1⁄16" smaller than the opening to accommodate the 5 mm lip.
Compatible glass thicknesses:
Standard 3⁄32" regular glass (recommended)
1⁄8" or tempered glass (optional)
⚠️ Safety tip: Always sand freshly cut glass edges with fine-grit sandpaper to remove sharpness.
Each vent section includes fine 3D-printed mesh that:
Won’t rust or corrode
Prevents fruit flies and gnats from escaping
Is safe for tarantulas, frogs, and other small animals (no toe-catching)
Optional solid vent inserts can be installed over the mesh to completely block airflow for high-humidity setups.
