This 3D printed replacement lid kit is custom-designed to fit the Thrive brand Vertical Hexagon Tropical Reptile Terrarium - 20 Gallon, which measures 19.1"L x 16.6"W x 22.4"H and features a front-opening door (tank is sold by PetSmart).
Please note — this is a kit for you to assemble, and it does not include the glass panel but may contain an acrylic panel if you selected that option. For high humidity set ups we recommend glass over acrylic. The design reuses the original lid rim to reduce plastic use and cost while maintaining excellent humidity control and fruit-fly containment.

Our TV Series lid is composed of six precision 3D-printed pieces in PETG:
1 × Frame (main window structure)
2 × Glass Retainers
2 × Side Panels (Screen, Solid, ScreenPort, or SolidPort depending on configuration)
16 × M2-8 mm Screws (10 required + 6 spare)
16 × Washer Mounts (14 standard + 2 spare for side mounting if original hardware is unavailable)
1 × Acrylic Sheet – 8" × 12" (or your own glass if you didn’t select acrylic)
Also requires the original Thrive lid, for certain parts
The side panels can each feature built-in fine 3D-printed mesh or be solid for increased humidity needs.
The glass center panel (not included) or acrylic (included if selected) is held securely in place within the inner frame using the included screws.
Each lid has an option of a side panel with a versatile port hole — one in the top of the triangle.
Every port includes a flush screw-in plug, allowing multiple configuration options:
Misting nozzle adapters: Accept standard misting systems (sold separately).
Feeder caps: Provide easy access for feeding or watering without opening the enclosure.
Cord pass-through caps: Suitable for cords (but not large plug heads).
For safety and convenience, glass is not included.
You can have glass cut to size at Lowe’s or most hardware stores — usually for free.
Glass opening size: 8" x 12”
Compatible glass thicknesses:
Standard 3⁄32" regular glass (recommended)
1⁄8" or tempered glass (optional)
⚠️ Safety tip: Always sand freshly cut glass edges with fine-grit sandpaper to remove sharpness.
Each Screen version side panel includes fine 3D-printed mesh that:
Won’t rust or corrode
Prevents fruit flies and gnats from escaping
Is safe for tarantulas, frogs, and other small animals (no toe-catching)
Alternatively, solid side panels can be purchased instead to completely block airflow for high-humidity setups.
The lid ships as a kit with detailed instructions. Assembly takes only a few minutes only a screwdriver is required.
